The staff was understanding about my disappointment, but that doesn't really make up for the bed bugs and the overall filthiness of the place. Every time I turned around, there was another problem.

i had a wonderful stay at candlewood! the front desk clerks were super friendly and welcoming. the shower was good, which is always a plus. also, the hotel is close to some of south carolina's beautiful beaches, making it a great spot to relax.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired. one suite had dirt on the floors and table, and another smelled unpleasant right from the get-go. The lack of an ice machine was a hassle, as I had to remember to turn on the fridge's ice maker myself. It didn't help that both the surrounding neighborhood felt a bit sketchy and I noticed some maintenance concerns around the property.
